Deputy President of YÖK Haldun Göktaş and his accompanying delegation, chaired by Deputy Minister Yelkenci, attended the conference held under the Latvian presidency in Strasbourg, France, as the representative of Türkiye. 46 member countries of the Council of Europe were invited to the conference.

 

The conference was held under the theme "The Transformative Power of Education: Universal Values and Civic Renewal".

 

Deputy Minister Yelkenci delivered his speeches in "Renewing the Social Responsibility of Education" and "Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence" sessions.

 

As a result of the conference, the Draft Resolutions of the Ministers of Education and the Council of Europe Education Strategy 2030 were adopted.

 

Deputy Minister Ömer Faruk Yelkenci and his delegation attended the invitation given by the Permanent Representative of Türkiye to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Nurdan Bayraktar Golder, at the Embassy residence. Yelkenci was accompanied by Director General of EU and Foreign Relations Tuba Korkmaz and Head of Department Sedat Abdulhakimoğulları during his contacts.
