ELİF AND ALP- THREE BOOK SERIES OFFERED TO STUDENTS DURING THE PANDEMIC NOW GIVES WAY TO

The 4th book of Elif and Alp series namely "School Excitement" prepared by the Directorate General for Special Education and Guidance Services will be introduced to children.
 
Noting that the Elif and Alp series was very popular among students and approved by teachers and parents, Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk stated that the new book of the series aims at helping children to cope with the traumatic effect of the pandemic and to adapt to the normalization process.
 
Minister Selçuk stressed that the book includes many interactive activities for students and their parents adding that, "we prioritize psycho-educational support of our students. The new book of the series will help students adapt to rules required to comply with the hygiene requirements during the face to face education process. They will also have the opportunity to practice healthy activities defined in the book."
 
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Directorate General for Special Education and Guidance Services has been carrying out various different projects in an effort to reduce the emotional reaction and psychological problems that might be observed during the pandemic as a part of their psychosocial support services.
 
The Directorate organized many activities and prepared visual materials within this framework. "Elif and Alp; the Psycho-educational Activities for Children Series" was prepared in an effort to help children adapt to the new conditions emerged during the global pandemic and express their fear and concerns through the heroes of the book.
 
30 thousand copies of each book of the series was published and distributed to schools in 81 cities of the country.
