MINISTER ÖZER IS IN UZBEKISTAN FOR 9th SUMMIT OF THE ORGANIZATION OF TURKIC STATES

Presidents of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and observer state  Hungarian Prime Minister and former President of Turkmenistan will be attending the summit hosted by Uzbek President Şevket Mirziyoyev.
 
Minister Özer attended the inter-delegation meetings chaired by our President Erdoğan and Uzbek President Mirziyoyev and the ceremony where Mirziyoyev presented "High Level, Imam Buhari' Order, the country's biggest state medal" to President Erdoğan.
 
Summit will be held in Samarkand
First summit of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in the historical Uzbek city Samarkand.
 
The organization was renamed as the Organization of Turkic States during the 8th Summit of  
The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States - Turkic Council held in İstanbul in November, 2021 and its summit will be held in historical Samarkand which is among the important centers of Turkish-Islam civilization.
 
Large participation in the Summit
President Erdoğan, Uzbek President Mirziyoyev, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, Kazakhstan's President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, of the and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, former president of Turkmenistan and current head of its upper house of Parliament Gurbangulı Berdimuhamedov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will be attending the Summit hosted by Uzbek President Mirziyoyev.
