NOW ALL CITIES HAVE SPECIAL EDUCATION KINDERGARTENS

The Ministry of National Education continues to disseminate accession to preschool education throughout the country. Within the framework, the Ministry managed to increase the schooling rate among the 5 year old age group from 78 percent to 90 percent within 5 months.

Recently, the Ministry started to disseminate preschool education for special education students. Previously, there were 52 special education kindergartens only in 28 cities of the country. The Ministry completed its plans and opened this type of kindergartens in every city.

165 new special education kindergartens will be opened this year

Within this context, the Ministry managed to increase the number of special education kindergartens in 81 cities to 112 until the end of 2021. In the first two months of 2022, the number of special education kindergartens reached 135. The Ministry has decided to open 165 new special education kindergartens until the end of this year.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer noted that the Ministry prioritizes quality of services provided in special education as much as its quantity.

"The number special education kindergartens will increase to 300"

"We are happy to open at least one special education kindergarten in every city of our country. As of today, there are no more cities without special education kindergartens. We will increase the number of these kindergartens to 300," stated Minister Özer.
