VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS AIM AT EARNING 1 BILLION FROM PRODUCTION THIS YEAR

Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer visited the İskenderun Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School and observed the projects carried in the school.
 
Making a speech during his visit, Özer pointed out that vocational schools have established cooperation arrangements with the private sector and increased their production capacities adding that vocational high schools aim at earning 1 billion liras from production.
 
Noting that vocational schools do not only train staff demanded by the labor market, they also display an important performance during the new type of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
 
Özer stated that vocational schools earned 248 million liras in 2018 and went on to say: "Despite the pandemic, their profit increased to 503 million liras in 2020. We set our goal as  1 billion liras revenues this year. Our purpose is not only producing but also increasing the skill and practice of our students. We also work in an effort to reinforce education, training and the employment cycle."
 
Following his speech, Özer had chats with students. İskendurun Mayor Fatih Tosyalı, Provincial Chairman of National Education Kemal Karahan, District Chairman of National Education Kemal Köseoğlu and Principal of İskenderun Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School Yusuf Yıldırım accompanied Özer during his visit.
